1000 ISLANDS B&B ASSOCIATION
Clients arrive as guests, and return as friends. This Bed and Breakfast association welcomes 'friends' from all over the world.
The eight Bed and Breakfast homes in our group offer gracious hospitality and a cheery atmosphere to our guests. Each B&B has a unique style of decor. Some are tucked into small Eastern Ontario towns, others are nestled in quiet country, while others boast stunning views of the St. Lawrence River. All belong to the beautiful 1000 Islands Tourist Region. Bicycle paths, woodland walks, and historic parks are within easy reach.
B&B life revolves around the breakfast table! Your hosts serve in dining rooms, patios, or porches for your pleasure. Food is prepared fresh each day by hosts who love to serve hearty or light, but always tasty, breakfasts. Our hosts revel in pleasing their guests.
The bedrooms vary with the individuality of your hosts. Beds: twin, double, queen, king- even canopied beds are available. There are both private and shared bathrooms. Some B&B's offer living rooms with VCR and TV. Some offer the use of barbecues or refrigerators. Others have decks and patios which offer the peace of outdoor flower gardens, ponds, alive with birds, bunnies, and other friendly country 'neighbours'.
All of your hosts will double as unofficial tour guides. They will recommend local restaurants, shops, and spots off the "beaten path". This area is rich in both natural beauty and history. The Thousand Islands Region hosts many National Historic Sites as well as the UNESCO designated Frontenac Arch Biosphere Reserve. We are home to the smallest national park in Canada (St. Lawrence Islands National Park) and also its oldest national historic site (Fort Wellington National Historic Site). We share a love of the 1000 Islands region and would enjoy helping you plan your time here.
